Playing at photographer...

One day i would like to own an all singing all dancing camera, when i do get one i will probably have to go on a photography course to learn just what to do with it, but in the mean time i'm picking up some tips in blog land and using my little Lumix camera. Recently i found the blog by Ishtar olivera, and she has been very kindly posting some great tips on how to take some fab photos'. Well today after reading tutorials one, two, and three, I had a little play around with some photos that I took recently, nothing to drastic, just some subtle changes.

I started with this.

Sore throat and Musings

Feeling a little under the weather today, my throat is very sore, so to take my mind off the fact that I can hardly swallow i have been taking a look at the new bright and Cheerful summer Boden catalog which landed on my door mat the other day, and my mind got to wandering....

....umm fabulous colours....(thinking to myself in dreamy kind a way)...that green print would look fab on a mug...

and these skirts would make lovely cushions.....(still thinking to myself).....do Boden make things for the home??

Oh these are great, mind kind of foot ware....

and I just love this little skirt.....

New bike.

I got a new bike this week...I say new, its from the charity shop...so not new new but new to me.

For riding through green leafy lanes in the summer, and defiantly for riding through puddles in the Autumn/winter.

Paumes books

I was over at BODIE and FOU Le Blog the other day and what should I find but a whole blog post on the Paumes books. Such temptation.....I entered the competition to win a couple of these lovely inspiring books, unfortunately they are all in Japanese, and its not a language that I have come to master, but I'm content just to look at the stunning photos in the one book that I currently own, Apartments de filles a Paris...ahh sounds so romantic.... by the way the books are available at Bodie and fou.

Do you Shop, shop window displays.

The other day while passing Accessorize in town, I noticed their shop window display, something i do alot, actually shop windows in general, but particularly accessorize, not the the items on display...well those too actually, but the props that are used in the shop window. This particular day they had some lovely pink flamingos in and i said to my daughter "I wonder if they would let me have one" well I plucked up the courage and went in and asked, I half expected the girl to look at me a bit oddly, but to my surprise I'm not the only person who likes the props in shop windows! apparently there is practically a waiting list for the items in the window, and unfortunately on this occasion all the items had already been snapped up. Though the girl did let me know when the next window change was going to be, (pictured above) but this time around its not really got anything in it I fancy...ah well off to discover more shop window props...

Spring splender

The spring is the most beautiful time of the year don't you think, and cheery blossom falling like confetti in the breeze is so pretty.

I can't resist cutting a little blossom and displaying it in doors, even though the petals fall at the slightest touch, they add life to the rooms, and make a house feel like a home.

Current obsession include, white walls, grey walls and sofas, particularly grey ones.
